Driving Green - A Breath of Fresh Air

Combined Cycle Power Generation
A combined cycle power plant is an efficient means of producing energy.

Natural gas is used in a combustion reactor to convert water to steam which turns a generator.  The exhaust from one reactor is used to power a second reactor and so on.  This makes the production of energy more efficient in this type of system.  By using the combined cycle the efficiency of such plants currently approaches 50%.
